Do you want to enjoy the tranquillity of the beautiful Swedish countryside in a cabin right on the water? Then this is the cottage you are looking for! A unique place with an amazing view over the lake Storsjön. A comfortable cottage surrounded by pure nature where you can truly relax!
The cabin is close to the Fräkensjömyra nature reserve, 20 kilometers northwest of Hagfors in Varmland. Here you can find tracks of wolves, bears and the great owl who still live here in the wild. In springtime you can hear the mating call of the grouses.
The cabin has a separate 3-person bedroom and the living room has a great sofa which can be converted in a comfortable bed for 2 in a second. The wood-fired sauna is located in the boathouse. You can simply cool off in the lake. What a luxury!
A cozy wood stove provides heat and solar panels provide electricity. The kitchen has a fridge, 4-burner stove and a gas oven. Of course you can always prepare your self-caught fish on a wood fire on the waterfront! The cabin has a new “utedass” (Swedish outdoor toilet).
You have the lake (4 kilometers long and 1.5 kilometers wide) almost to yourself because there are only 4 houses surrounding it. If you like fishing, a rowing boat is waiting for you (an engine can also be hired). It’s also a great lake to explore with the canoe or kayak. We provide 10 liters of drinking water at the start (you can fill it permanently with us). You can also use the water from the lake.
